Characteristics of electroplating wastewater:
   The main sources of zinc in electroplating and metal processing industry are electroplating or pickling liquid. The waste water is transferred to the rinse water after rinsing with metal. The pickling process involves the removal of metal (zinc or copper) in a strong acid to remove the oxide from the surface, and then the treatment of the brightening agent containing a strong chromic acid. The wastewater contains large amounts of hydrochloric acid and zinc, copper and other heavy metal ions and organic brighteners, toxicity, and some also contain carcinogenic, teratogenic, mutagenic toxic substances, great harm to humans.
